IT'S TRUE - WE'RE OPEN FOR TOURS AGAIN!

We'll be open from noon to 3pm this Saturday!

Here's what to expect when you visit:

You’ll be asked for your ID – we card everyone. There is a $7 entrance fee, but a tour of the brewery and a Rahr & Sons pint glass that will hold up to three beer tastings are no charge (the pint glass is yours to keep because we want you to have something to fondly remember us by). If you bring your Rahr pint glass back - and don't take a new one - you can notify the volunteers taking money at the door that you would like to designate $2.50 of the $7 entrance fee to our Charity of the Week (this week is The Hope Center 4 Autism!).

Once inside the brewery you can expect to line up for a pint of beer – we recommend gazing at our lovely new bar and the gorgeous Rahr sign hand-painted by local artist Keith Thomson while you wait. After you get your pint, feel free to visit the gift shop or find a spot to sit at one of the picnic tables. Smoking is permitted on the back dock (not inside the brewery).

Please note that the brewery is an open-air facility, which means no air conditioning. Please dress accordingly.

We have extended the tour hours for this Saturday only - noon-3 p.m. Every Saturday following, tour hours will be the regular 1-3 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you, with a pint of Rahr in hand, this Saturday!

Brewers Blog

First blog entry!

It was really great of you to post all of these questions on Facebook. We had no idea what to put in the Brewer’s Blog. We are brewing Pug today, and filtering Blonde. Got started about 4:30 this morning, and so far everything is going pretty smoothly. We are rocking out to some classic rock (Doors, Steppenwolf, etc.). That’s what’s going on with us today so here are some of your great questions.

Yep, still the same ol' story...

...no tour/tasting this week. But, the weather in Fort Worth has been so lovely the last couple of days, we recommend taking your Saturday afternoon and spending it on the patio of a bar or restaurant that serves Rahr beer. Please do this for us, because we'll be busy inside the brewery painting and sweeping and caulking and scrubbing - and thinking of you enjoying your Rahr in the sunshine and cool-ish breeze will make all our hard work easier. Cheers!

No tour/tasting June 19

A few articles and online posts mentioned June 19 as a fairly certain re-open date for the brewery. Unfortunately, we've had a couple of construction delays (isn't that the way it always works?), so we must reschedule. We will let you know when we have a clearer idea of our new re-open date. Be sure to check back here - or, better yet, follow us on facebook for the most up-to-the- minute updates! Click the words in yellow to get to the brewery's facebook page.
